The South Carolina Spine Center provides a comprehensive range of surgical procedures for the lower back (lumbar) and neck (cervical). Neurosurgeons at Self Regional have access to some of the most advanced technology in the world, including the iCT BrainSuite, one of only four in the U.S. Using this system, neurosurgeons can obtain the highest level of surgical imaging available during back surgery.

Following surgery, Spine Center patients are moved from recovery to dedicated Spine Center rooms on the 4th floor of the Patient Tower at Self Regional Medical Center, where nurses, physical therapists, and other staff are experienced in caring for spine surgery patients. Each patient’s care and progress is coordinated by the Spine Center Nurse Navigator.
